About Me
I have vision and leadership skills that helped kick-start and guide the green building movement in Australia, and then to drive a corporation’s sustainability initiatives and strategy across diverse global teams and businesses.
I am used to working at the highest levels, building and developing teams, and successfully engaging with stakeholders. I have extensive experience of governance, strategy, organisational and market transformation, and business development, in corporate, not-for-profit, professional and industry organisations. I have contributed to and reviewed strategies for businesses in Asia Pacific, Europe, the United Kingdom, the Middle East and the United States. I have presented at numerous conferences worldwide.
As a strategic thinker I tackle complex issues and then present them in a clear and engaging way. I have proven ability to drive productive discussion and achieve consensus within diverse groups. I believe in joining forces to achieve better outcomes. I build and share networks and connections easily. My achievements of which I am most proud are in envisioning and mobilising change - being able to articulate what needs to be done, how to do it and attract funding to get it done.
I have received Australian and international recognition for my expertise and achievements in sustainability leadership and corporate social responsibility, particularly in the real estate and construction industry.
In 2006, I was honoured to receive a United States Green Building Council Leadership Award recognising outstanding leadership and commitment to green building and broader sustainability agendas on a global scale. In 2012, I was awarded a Member of the General Division of the Order of Australia (AM) for "service to the construction and real estate sector, particularly as a leader and contributor to environmentally sustainable building development in Australia".
